Inpatient wards, maternity and theatre

Every bed, every patient, every shift

Admit, assign a bed and hand over between shifts from the same record. Maternity and theatre have their own workflows, and every drug, test and procedure on the ward is billed.

Why facilities use wards, maternity and theatre

  • See which beds are free

Bed status by ward, so admissions are placed without a walk round the hospital.

  • Clear handovers

Nursing notes and medication records are in the chart for the next shift.

  • Inpatient bills complete

Ward drugs, tests and procedures post to the bill, with deposits applied.

  • Keeps working offline

Wards keep working during internet outages and sync when the connection returns.

Admissions and nursing

From admission to discharge in one record

Admit from the consultation, assign a bed and record observations, nursing notes and medicines given on each shift. Transfers and the discharge summary sit in the same record.

Wards, maternity and theatre: questions

What does an inpatient (IPD) module do?

It manages patients who stay on a ward: admission, bed assignment, nursing notes, medicines given, transfers and discharge. Everything is kept in the same patient record used in outpatients.

Does TibaCloud have a maternity module?

Yes. The maternity module covers antenatal visits, delivery and postnatal care. It is included in the Hospital and Enterprise plans.

Can we manage theatre lists in TibaCloud?

Yes. The theatre module holds theatre lists, procedures and operation notes, and procedure charges post to the patient’s bill. It is included in the Hospital and Enterprise plans.

Do the wards keep working if the internet goes down?

Yes. Offline mode keeps registration, wards and billing working during outages, and changes sync automatically when the connection returns.

How long does it take a hospital to go live?

Hospitals usually go live in six to eight weeks, and departments can go live one at a time. Our team is on site through the first days.
