Pharmacy and stores

Make every tablet count

The prescription is waiting when the patient arrives. Batches are picked first-expiry-first-out, stock drops as you dispense, and you are told before an item runs out or expires.

Every plan. Stores and inventory (reorder levels, suppliers, multiple stores) on the Pharmacy plan and Medical Centre and up.

Why facilities use pharmacy and stores

  • Fewer expired drugs

Expiry dates are tracked by batch, and stock close to expiry is flagged in time to use it.

  • No surprise stock-outs

Reorder levels warn you early, with an order drafted for the items running low.

  • Every item paid for

Dispensed items post to the bill, so what leaves the shelf is charged.

  • Safer dispensing

The pharmacist sees allergies and weight next to the prescription.

Dispensing

The prescription arrives before the patient

Prescriptions from the consulting room appear in the pharmacy queue. The pharmacist checks the allergy alert, picks the batch and dispenses, and stock updates in the same step.

  • E-prescriptions from the doctor
  • Allergy and interaction checks
  • Labels and counselling notes

Batch and expiry

First expiry, first out

Every receipt is recorded with its batch number and expiry date. When you dispense, the batch that expires first is picked, and alerts show what to use or return before it expires.

  • Batch and expiry on every item
  • First-expiry-first-out picking
  • Expiry and reorder alerts
  • Stock on hand by item

Standalone pharmacies

Built for retail pharmacies too

The Pharmacy plan gives a standalone pharmacy dispensing, stores, billing, mobile money and national reports, without the clinical modules it does not need.

  • Cash, card and mobile money at the counter
  • Suppliers and purchasing
  • Priced for a single pharmacy

Pharmacy and stores: questions

Does the pharmacy module track expiry dates?

Yes. Every item is received with its batch number and expiry date. Dispensing picks the batch that expires first, and items close to expiry are flagged so you can use or return them in time.

Can TibaCloud manage stock across several stores?

Yes. Stock is held and tracked per store, so you know what each store has on hand. Multiple stores are part of the stores and inventory module, on the Pharmacy plan and Medical Centre plans and up.

Will it warn me before we run out of a drug?

Yes. Each item can have a reorder level. When stock falls below it, the item is flagged and a purchase order can be drafted for your supplier.

Is there a plan for a standalone pharmacy?

Yes. The Pharmacy plan covers dispensing, stores and inventory, billing, mobile money and national reports for a retail pharmacy that does not need consultations or a lab.

Does dispensing update the patient bill?

Yes. Each dispensed item posts its own charge to the bill, so the cashier or the pharmacist can take payment by cash, card or mobile money.
