FAQs
Can we use TibaCloud in our country?
Yes. TibaCloud works in any country. International plans are priced in US dollars, and Uganda and Kenya also have local-currency plans. Mobile money, insurance, national reporting and tax integrations are configured for your country; we confirm what is available for yours during the site visit and quote.
Does it work when the internet goes down?
Yes. Offline mode keeps registration, wards and billing working during outages, and changes sync automatically when the connection returns. It runs on computers, tablets and phones.
How do you handle patient data and data protection law?
Patient consent records, role-based access, a full audit trail of who saw or changed what, encryption and daily encrypted off-site backups. These support laws such as Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019. Where a country has data localisation rules, we confirm the hosting region before you go live.
Which mobile money services are supported?
Mobile money is set up per country and matched to bills automatically: for example MTN MoMo and Airtel Money in Uganda, and M-Pesa in Kenya. It is included in every plan, with no separate integration fee.
Can we bill insurance and medical schemes?
Yes, on Medical Centre plans and up: member checks, pre-authorisation and claims tracking for private insurers, smart-card systems and national schemes such as SHA in Kenya. Uganda’s national health insurance is not in force yet; TibaCloud is ready to connect when it launches.
